Atlanta’s Josh Smith continued his impressive play as of late by tipping in a missed shot by Mike Bibby with 0.7 seconds remaining to give the Hawks their 7th straight win and maintain a hold on the league’s best record at 11-2. Smith who sat most of the 4th quarter mired in foul trouble, was in the game when it counted most to score the game winner.

The Hawks were led by 3rd year player, Marvin Williams, who scored a career high 29 points, to go with 9 rebounds. Williams is apparently starting to show some of his high potential after not scoring more than 14 points in any game this season. The Hawks needed a big effort by Williams beacause of Smith’s foul trouble and with leading scorer, Joe Johnson, being held to only 19 points. Jamal Crawford also added 21 points for Atlanta while Carl Landry’s 18 points led all Rocket scorers.
